About The Position

The Administrative Professional - Human Resources is responsible for providing administrative support and the Human Resources operations for program personnel. The Administrative Professional - Human Resources should be committed to Sanctuary practice utilizing tools that reinforce our shared language to create a trauma-responsive culture.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • A high school diploma or GED and two years of experience in Human Resources related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Project a professional image through in-person, phone, and electronic interactions
  • Ability to sit at workstation for extended periods of time; occasionally lift/carry parcels up to 35 pounds.
  • Read and interpret documents/procedure manuals.
  • Possess the ability, flexibility, and maturity to render the duties and responsibilities required of this position.
  • Have the ability to manage time, set priorities and to organize and follow structured routines.
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel and Word, with the ability to learn new software applications.
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to show proof of required vaccinations/immunizations.
  • Agree to abide by all the policies, rules, guidelines and regulations of the Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries, Inc.
  • Exhibit tactfulness and good judgment in dealing with people.
  • Familiar with traditional Baptist tenets, customs and practices and shall maintain a compatible lifestyle.
  • Meet all employee guidelines and qualifications as outlined by GBCH&FM license, contracts, and accreditation.
  • Have the ability to work in partnership with other members in a team approach.
  • Arrive to work on time and as scheduled.

  • Achieve and accomplish annual goals assigned by supervisor or provide acceptable documentation as to why goals were not met.
  • Understanding of confidential issues and protected information assigned under HIPAA.
  • Complete staff development hours required within the program.
  • Favorable MVR and fingerprint results as required.
  • Maintain valid State Driver’s License as required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain active roster of current applicants and status of processing.
  • Assist with updating applicant information in Paylocity Recruiting.
  • Ensure all hiring policies of licensing agencies, and GBCH&FM are followed including paperwork, fingerprints, and vaccinations are completed.
  • Ensure all pre-service training required by the state, federal, and agency are completed by each new hire prior to the employee working with youth.
  • Prepare paperwork and data entry required to place employee on payroll and establishes personnel file.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Become notary public or maintain notary public status as assigned.
  • Utilize personal safety plan for managing emotions and interaction with staff and clients.
  • Maintains I-9 records and retention in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in PQI process for assigned program.
  • Keep office running smoothly/efficiently within the team approach.
  • Serve as office manager.
  • Maintain keys and car permits for employee’s vehicles.
  • Be aware of budget management and work toward stewardship, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Represent agency favorably at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
