About The Position

This position serves as an Administrative Professional 2 / County & Business Operations Coordinator for Summit County. The role involves ensuring accurate data entry into a data management system, researching and responding to inquiries and complaints, assisting with budget monitoring and purchasing materials, and recording, adjusting, and monitoring inventory. The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is responsible for building and maintaining the nation's 5th largest interstate system and the 3rd largest number of bridges, aiming to provide a safe, accessible, and well-maintained transportation system for Ohio.

Requirements

  • Completion of associate core coursework in secretarial science or business office applications from an accredited career school or community college.
  • 18 months of experience or 18 months of training in a secretarial/administrative professional field.
  • 6 months of experience as Administrative Professional 1, 16871.
  • Equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must undergo a criminal background check.
  • Must pass a drug-free workplace screening.
