About The Position

This position plays a key role in helping communities access important state and federal resources. You will work with partners at many levels of government while supporting program operations. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys detailed work that reinforces public safety.

Requirements

  • One year as an Administrative Officer 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting, or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.

Nice To Haves

  • In the event of an emergency/disaster situation or training exercise, this position may be required to travel, work up to 12-hour shifts, and work outside of the normal work hours, including weekends and overnights.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate applications, reimbursement requests, and program activities for compliance with federal and state rules
  • Create and update policies, procedures, and guidelines used to administer disaster recovery and emergency preparedness grants
  • Track subrecipient grant balances, prepare status reports, and ensure all reporting requirements are met
  • Assist in creating and delivering training related to grant administration and program requirements
  • Develop grant agreements, process approvals, and maintain accurate records throughout the grant cycle
  • Prepare correspondence, respond to inquiries, and maintain strong working relationships with federal, state, county, and local partners
