About The Position

ENP is a Nashville-based nonprofit committed to providing essential resources and support to underserved communities. Our programs include The FreeStore, which provides free household items and groceries to families in need; The Spot, which offers youth services and community engagement; and advocacy efforts around affordable housing. Gain hands-on experience in community engagement by assisting in the day-to-day operations of the FreeStore. Learn inventory management, customer service, and basic nonprofit operations while supporting neighbors in need. Develop organizational, communication, and teamwork skills in a real-world setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist community members shopping at the FreeStore.
  • Sort, organize, and restock incoming donations (food, clothing, household items).
  • Maintain clean, orderly displays and storage areas.
  • Track inventory levels and coordinate restocking with staff/volunteers.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering basic questions and directing neighbors to resources.
  • Support data entry for inventory records and client feedback (as needed).
