About The Position

Participates in a one-year post-graduate fellowship designed to develop future healthcare leaders through immersive training in pediatric health services administration. Rotates through operational, clinical, and support departments while leading strategic projects that support organizational priorities and professional development. Gains broad exposure to pediatric healthcare operations through additional experiences with the Arkansas Children's Foundation, Arkansas Children's Research Institute, and other healthcare-related community organizations.

Requirements

Master's degree in a related field of study; or Completed the didactic curriculum of an applicable master's degree program and is required to complete a one-year administrative fellowship as part of the degree requirements.
Entry Level - Experience not Required.

Responsibilities

Participates in rotational assignments across operational, clinical, and support departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of healthcare administration while contributing to departmental and organizational initiatives.
Participates in strategic projects that align with organizational priorities and the professional development goals of the fellowship.
Attends and actively participates in administrative meetings, committees, and other assigned organizational meetings to gain exposure to executive decision-making and healthcare operations.
Assists with organizational planning, budgeting, process improvement, and departmental problem-solving activities under the guidance of executive leadership and fellowship preceptors.
Collaborates with leaders across the organization to analyze operational challenges, develop recommendations, and implement solutions that improve efficiency, quality, and patient experience.
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication by preparing reports, presentations, and project updates, while maintaining regular communication with fellowship preceptors regarding project status, accomplishments, and potential risks.
Exercises sound judgment, critical thinking, and professionalism in managing routine assignments, addressing operational issues, and responding to changing priorities.
Represents Arkansas Children's in internal committees, community organizations, and professional associations while demonstrating the organization's mission, values, and standards of professionalism.
Maintains compliance with organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and all applicable rules and regulations while accepting responsibility and accountability for assigned work.
Participates in ongoing performance evaluations, feedback sessions, and professional development activities to successfully complete fellowship objectives and prepare for future healthcare leadership roles.
Performs other duties as assigned.
