About The Position

Planned Parenthood Votes! South Atlantic is hiring an Administrative Director for their Charlotte, NC office. The Outreach Team, a premier national field firm, partners with organizations working to solve societal problems and helps them build resources. This role involves managing offices in North Carolina, training and managing local canvassers to contact voters for Planned Parenthood Votes South Atlantic, and building an office from the ground up within the director team. Administrative Directors are Deputy Directors who report to the office's Lead Directors. They are expected to train new hires, canvass at least 6 hours a week, and work towards ensuring everyone can live, thrive, and raise families in healthy communities by protecting reproductive rights and stopping government intrusion into private healthcare decisions.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 40-60 hourly staff who will canvass door to door to talk to voters about reproductive rights
  • Canvass yourself several days a week to train staff and drive office goals
  • Coordinate with the Project's Senior Payroll Coordinator to ensure all canvasser hours, bonuses, and payroll information are accurate and submitted on schedule every other Saturday; distribute daily pay sheets each evening so canvassers are informed of their reported hours and expected pay, while collaborating with support teams as needed to resolve payroll and administrative issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, facilitating onboarding, conducting mileage reimbursement training, maintaining orientation attendance records, and reviewing I-9 documentation to ensure compliance with employment eligibility requirements.
  • Demonstrate strong computer proficiency with the ability to efficiently manage and maintain multiple spreadsheets, ensuring accurate data entry, organization, and reporting.
