About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Director of Surgical Services RN to provide strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for perioperative services. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care, quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and financial performance while building strong physician and employee relationships. The ideal candidate is an accomplished surgical services leader with a strong background in inpatient acute care, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for developing teams and advancing surgical service lines.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Minimum of 2 years of inpatient acute care Director of Surgical Services experience required.
Minimum of 3 years of inpatient acute care surgical services experience as a licensed Registered Nurse required.
Current Kansas RN license or multi-state compact RN license.

Nice To Haves

Trauma experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide executive oversight and leadership for Surgical Services operations.
Lead quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
Direct staffing, labor management, budgeting, and resource utilization.
Optimize patient throughput, workflow, and operational efficiency.
Partner with physicians and hospital leadership to develop and grow surgical service lines.
Develop leaders, mentor managers, and promote employee engagement and accountability.
Oversee capital equipment planning, supply management, and resource allocation.
Drive strategic planning, process improvement, and initiatives that enhance the patient experience.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
