About The Position

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) is seeking an Administrative Coordinator for the Office of Research Integrity (ORI). This role reports to the Director of Research Compliance and provides high-level administrative and programmatic support for research compliance areas including research security, research ethics and misconduct, conflict of interest, and other programs within the ORI. The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining tracking systems related to compliance efforts, supporting misconduct investigations, and providing administrative support for the Division of Research's quality assurance and improvement efforts. Additionally, the position will offer administrative support as needed during high-demand periods across other functions of the Division of Research.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of office administrative practices, procedures, and operations.
  • Correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
  • Expertise in using office software packages, technology, and systems.
  • Skilled in preparing professional correspondence, reports, and transcribing meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Analyze operational procedural problems and develop, recommend, and evaluate proposed solutions to routine office management concerns.
  • Exercise judgment, discretion, and initiative in establishing priorities, providing follow-up and quality control.
  • Perform business math and analyze budgetary data.
  • Plan, organize, and lead or oversee the work of others, particularly student workers.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.
  • Operate standard office equipment and software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Technical skilled in web-based systems used for virtual video conferencing, ensuring smooth coordination of meetings, remote communication, and online engagement across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong foundation in budget management, accounting, and financial tracking.
  • Strong adaptability to changing work assignments.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).
  • 3-5 years of experience.

  • Working knowledge of human resources procedures and regulations.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures applicable to animal research, conflict of interest, Responsible Conduct of Research, and human participant incentives.
  • Possess an understanding of federal and University regulations related to the assessment and processing of allegations of research misconduct.

Responsibilities
