Requirements

  • Associates Degree in a related field
  • Prior administrative experience in a professional or manufacturing/plant environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Process development for repeatable results and sustained improvement.
  • Able to initiate and handle multiple tasks and projects as necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the plant manager and staff, including managing calendars, making travel arrangements, coordinating executive visits, managing plant visitors, preparing presentations, and coordinating group visits/tours.
  • Provide event coordination for the facility, such as training events, outside plant visits, celebrations, and service award events.
  • Provide data reporting and analysis for various functions, including financial head counting, recognition reporting, time to fill openings, plant service, and annual staffing.
  • Serve as an HR/Payroll administrator for A&T and M&P employees, acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the Kronos system, clearing payroll, auditing time, instructing supervisors on system use, and monitoring holiday and shift patterns for accuracy.
  • Develop plant communication and training calendars and publish them to the organization.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for employees regarding general requests.
  • Implement HR programs, processes, and policies in compliance with current legal and regulatory policies, assessing their alignment with Corning Values and a positive work environment.
  • Recommend areas for standardization of HR programs, processes, and policies to reduce administrative complexity and costs.
  • Build HR reputation through value-added interactions with customers.
  • Responsible for the analysis and reporting of data within HR systems, with a strong focus on training.
  • Assign appropriate confidentiality status to materials and ensure compliance.
  • Independently solve most problems by examining pertinent facts.
  • Interact with external contacts in addition to maintaining internal customer relations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
