About The Position
The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking seasonal staff for the upcoming 2026 NC State Fair, which runs from Thursday, October 15 to Sunday, October 25. This is an opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people in a fast-paced environment and want to be part of a team to ensure a safe and fun event. The fair is located at 4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh, NC 27607. Several positions are available, including Head Cashier, Exhibit Manager, Exhibit Worker, Competition Worker, Gateman, Information Booth Attendant, Public Announcer, Receptionist, Cash Room Worker, Ticket Seller, and Ticket Taker. Background checks are required for Head Cashier, Cash Room Worker, and Ticket Seller positions.
Requirements
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to lift and carry 10-20 pounds
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to follow policies and guidelines
