About The Position
The N.C. Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking Police Officers to staff the annual NC State Fair, which will run from October 15 to October 25, 2026. The schedule for these positions may run from October 1 through October 31. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are looking for extra income while being part of a team essential to a safe and fun event. The Fair is located at 4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh, NC 27607.
Requirements
- NC BLET Certified and currently sworn as a Justice Officer with the NC DOJ Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards.
- Currently employed by a law enforcement agency, whether full or part time or in reserve capacity.
- High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma.
- Must complete all requirements for an NC Probationary Law Enforcement Certification, including completion of Basic Law Enforcement Training, in accordance with the provisions of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission within one year of employment.
- Must be at least 20 years of age.
- Possession of a valid NC Driver's License.
