About The Position

This position is located at the Columbus, MS Global Cellulose Fibers mill. As one of the largest softwood pulp producers in the world, this location produces bleached softwood pulp for use in paper and specialty products such as absorbent personal care products, pharmaceuticals and photographic-based papers. The role is responsible for office activities, coordinating calendars, schedules, appointments, meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements for the EHS department. The assistant will ensure the EHS team has appropriate materials for various meetings and events, assist employees with prescription safety glasses and steel-toed boot programs, and coordinate/facilitate meeting and EHS training scheduling. This includes safety meetings, safety recognition, safety training, and visitor events. The role also involves processing expense reports for EHS purchases, creating purchase requisitions, and purchasing safety recognition items, lab supplies, and EHS displays. Additionally, the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for maintaining the mill’s Safety Incident reporting system, EHS Sharepoint site, electronic reader board, and SDS system, as well as maintaining all EHS files and serving as the central communications point for the EHS Team.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum five years’ administrative support experience preferred.
  • Associate's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate calendars, schedules, appointments, meetings, conference calls, and travel arrangements for the EHS department.
  • Ensure the EHS team has appropriate materials for various meetings and events.

  • Purchase safety recognition items, lab supplies, EHS displays including signs, banners, stickers, etc.
  • Maintain the mill’s Safety Incident reporting system, EHS Sharepoint site, electronic reader board, and SDS system.
  • Maintain all EHS files.
  • Serve as central communications point for the EHS Team.
