About The Position

Schochet is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join their team. This role provides office support to the Property Manager and other staff at the Riverside Village Apartments, a 300+ unit family apartment community in Leominster, MA. The company emphasizes employee growth and retention, with over 50 years of experience in the industry.

Requirements

  • Prior office experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • Pre-employment background check required.

Responsibilities

  • Answering phones and greeting visitors in a cordial manner.
  • Answering phones and taking messages.
  • Directing calls to the appropriate person or assisting the caller directly.
  • Opening and closing work orders and inspections, ensuring detailed information is obtained for repair work.
  • Keeping appropriate staff informed regarding customer issues and concerns.
  • Sending and receiving rental applications and processing them onto the waitlist.
  • Coordinating mailings, such as annual waitlist updates, application processing, and vendor insurance certificates.
  • Providing administrative support in scheduling, typing, filing, supply ordering, and mail coordination.
  • Creating and distributing resident notices and letters.
  • Updating the Pest control monitoring report.
  • Entering payables and investigating outstanding invoices.
  • Processing rent checks monthly and updating the receivables report.
  • Processing HAP payments and allocating them.
  • Reviewing and providing parking permits.
  • Updating property reports.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
