About The Position

Under the direction of the administrators, the administrative assistant is responsible for assisting students, parents, staff, and visitors. This role provides secretarial support to the Principal, handles correspondence, answers phones, processes mail, and maintains general office files. The position also involves processing paperwork for supplies, materials, equipment, and inventory, accurately maintaining the student information system, and processing reporting substitutes and payroll documents. Additionally, the administrative assistant will be trained in medical areas such as diabetic screening, dispensing medicine, lice checks, and fever checks.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or general education degree
  • Proficient use of computers, including knowledge and use of Google Workspace and student data systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven organizational skills
  • Demonstrated success as a collaborator and proven team player
  • Demonstrated successful communication skills with students, staff, parents, and community

Nice To Haves

  • Prior administrative assistant/office experience preferred
  • Ability to handle many job responsibilities and prioritize duties
  • Experience working with children
