About The Position

Supports the Drury GO, CAMP, and TRIO program with general office procedures and duties, requiring organization skills, communication skills, correspondence, and filing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and administrative experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficient in the use of all components of Microsoft Office; good design capability; interest in continual acquisition of skills.
  • Ability to use a copy machine.
  • Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all materials handled and seen in process of performing job responsibilities.
  • Ability to have a positive attitude and neat professional appearance for greeting students, faculty and campus visitors.
  • Ability to work independently in order to organize and prioritize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Analytical skills are necessary for maintaining records and preparing reports.
  • Understanding of program deadlines and the academic process related to the programs of the department.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule format.
  • Ability to be creative and flexible.
  • Ability to establish good rapport with students.
  • Ability to anticipate ways to assist staff in their daily work.
  • High school diploma or equivalent and three years proven administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

  • Post-secondary education or associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day clerical support for CAMP and TRIO program.
  • Coordinate logistics for meetings and events.
  • Attend meetings as required, preparing, distributing, and filing as needed.
  • Student record keeping and maintenance.
  • Budgetary support.
  • Prepare event materials (programs, flyers, etc.).
  • Responsible for all administrative support to the Drury GO staff, faculty, and students.
  • Assist the CAMP and TRIO Directors with projects, research, presentations, etc.
  • Make appointments for new students, documents all contacts with current students, and coordinate program activities.
  • Maintain organized audit-ready files (electronic and physical) in accordance with U.S. Department of Education guidelines.
  • Responsible for the monthly reconciliation of CAMP & TRIO program, keeping receipts for purchases made.
  • Manually maintain non-complex office filing system.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies (office and classroom) and order/purchase supplies as needed.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
