Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) year of experience in general office administrative duties or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and interpretive skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an insurance company, broker or consultant preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative and clerical support to the unit, including producing correspondence, reports, and other documentation.
  • Assists with processing and maintaining claim files , including organizing, tracking, and updating documentation in accordance with established procedures.
  • Handles incoming mail , including receiving, sorting, date-stamping, and distributing correspondence and claim-related materials.
  • Prepares and packages outgoing mail , ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely distribution.
  • Maintains electronic and/or paper filing systems; tracks and manages suspense files and deadlines.
  • Provides back-up telephone support , responding to routine inquiries and directing calls appropriately.
  • Performs routine clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, emailing, faxing, and data entry.
  • Maintains adequate office supply inventory and places orders as needed.
  • Assists with general administrative tasks as assigned, including scheduling, tracking information, and supporting team workflows.
  • Supports organizational quality and compliance requirements by following established procedures and documentation standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
