Waste Connections is an integrated solid waste services company that provides solid waste collection, transfer, disposal and recycling services in mostly exclusive and secondary markets. Requirements

  • 1+ years of administrative experience, preferably supporting managers or executives in a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience and proficiency in MS Office programs, including Word , Outlook, and Excel ; proficiency in PowerPoint a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage projects and calendar matters for follow-up.
  • Professionalism, discretion, ability to work with others and good judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, solve problems and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Order and maintain office and breakroom supplies
  • Report maintenance issues to building management
  • Open, sort, and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail (envelopes, packages, etc.)
  • Order office furniture as needed
  • Organize and assist with office moves
  • Maintain office equipment including printers and copiers
  • Maintain office keys and building entry cards
  • Maintain filing system including well logs
  • Assist with travel requests including car rental reservations
  • Utilize office appliances such as photocopier, printers etc. and computers for word processing, spreadsheet creation etc.
  • Assist with planning company events
  • Reserve conference rooms for company meetings
  • Assist with catering needs
  • Order field supplies as needed
  • First point of contact for visitors and deliveries
  • Provides clerical and office support to ensure efficient daily operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
