About The Position

Support the Tokio Marine Asset Management (USA) (TMAM USA) team with general office affairs, accounting support and assistance, and other office administrative tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in both of Japanese and English
  • Proficiencies in Microsoft applications including MS-Excel and MS-Word
  • Basic knowledge of business letter writing
  • College degree or equivalent
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of programs

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarities with accounting applications including QuickBooks very preferable
  • Familiarities with business practices both in US and Japan very preferable

Responsibilities

  • Interact with guests, callers and clients.
  • Make arrangements for visitors.
  • Interact with vendors for efficient and prompt operations.
  • Coordinate functionality and effectiveness of the workspace.
  • Take care of incoming/outgoing mail, parcels and packages.
  • Assist the COO and the administrative manager of TMAM USA with the accounting function, including: Account payables; check invoices and process payments.
  • Make accounting entries.
  • Prepare accounting information including monthly bank reconciliation sheets, quarterly trial balances, packages of subledgers and schedules.
  • Provide accounting data to external financial statement auditors and tax consultants.
  • Provide financial data to Tokio Marine Asset Management Co., Ltd. (TMAM Tokyo).
  • Assist the COO/CCO and the administrative manager with daily/regular/ad-hoc operations in compliance and other administrative functions.
