As a member of CIBC Wood Gundy, you will be responsible for building and growing Wood Gundy client portfolios through dedicated relationship management, trusted investment advice and exceptional client service. Collaborating with Investment Advisors, you will help oversee portfolios and drive new business opportunities. Your responsibilities include engaging directly with high-net-worth clients to offer support, identify growth prospects, and enhance their overall experience. While some client service is involved, the main emphasis is on business development, executing marketing initiatives, and cultivating strong referral networks both within and outside the organization. Success in this role requires outstanding networking abilities, a proactive approach to relationship-building, and a high standard of professionalism, regulatory awareness, and dedication to client success. At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. To successfully perform the work, you’ll be on-site full-time Monday through Friday. The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $48,880 to $53,870. The base salary is determined by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, experience, and job-related knowledge, as well as geographic location and specific business needs. Our compensation philosophy supports ongoing growth and development, enabling progression within the salary range as team members advance in their roles.   • Financial Services and/or Brokerage industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of various quotation equipment is required.

Responsibilities

  • Building and growing Wood Gundy client portfolios through dedicated relationship management, trusted investment advice and exceptional client service.
  • Collaborating with Investment Advisors to oversee portfolios and drive new business opportunities.
  • Engaging directly with high-net-worth clients to offer support, identify growth prospects, and enhance their overall experience.
  • Business development, executing marketing initiatives, and cultivating strong referral networks both within and outside the organization.
  • Anticipating client needs and communicating promptly with the team to build trust and deepen client relationships.
  • Identifying activities, processes, and opportunities to improve the client experience while keeping detailed records in CRM software.
  • Coordinating the Onboarding Experience from introduction to a potential client to the point they are fully engaged as a new client.
  • Proactively identifying business opportunities for the team.
  • Working closely with Investment Advisors to support business development activities and assist in building investment plans based on the client’s profile, goals, and risk/reward tolerance.
  • Heightening CIBC brand awareness in the community by attending local events and participating in marketing and outreach activities.
  • Growing your network to create lasting connections that will generate future opportunities.
