Lifesteps, a local nonprofit organization with its central office in Butler, PA, is seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to support the Community Relations and Agency Development departments. This role reports to the Director of Marketing and Community Relations and works a normal schedule of 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Candidate must possess excellent communication and customer service skills, be comfortable engaging with individual donors, have attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Must be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, function well in a team environment as well as complete tasks independently. Experience with donor relations, database software and Excel, grant writing, fundraising and public relations is preferred. Additional responsibilities include data entry, composing and editing correspondence and gift acknowledgement; organizing meetings, email, calendar and grant tracking task management; specialized administrative and office support functions; creates and maintains specialized reports, lists, records and files required, coordinates activities related to department work processes and lends support to community and fundraising events. The incumbent will be required to both take direction and work independently to support the completion of the department’s goals and objectives in a professional manner.
