About The Position

Cayuga Counseling Services, Inc. seeks a Full Time (40 hours per week) Administrative Assistant to join our Administrative Department. The hours for the Administrative Assistant are Monday -Thursday 10am till 7pm and Friday 8am till 5pm. The Administrative Assistant will join a team of professionals who support Agency initiatives and Program staff and interact with Agency clients in a trauma informed manner at the Main Office located in Auburn, NY. As a representative of the Agency the Administrative Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: Professionally greet clients and visitors of the Agency. Answer incoming telephone calls and direct to appropriate staff members. Collect insurance information and verify eligibility, process payments from various programs. Schedule appointments for clients with therapist and providers. Input client data and preform various functions in Electronic Health Records in adherence to worksite procedures. Collect and sort mail daily. Assist Agency staff members with various clerical duties and preforms other clerical tasks as required. Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations/practices. Perform other administrative duties as necessary.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in an administrative position
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced confidential environment
  • Willing to learn and be self-motivated
  • Required to maintain client and Agency confidentiality and abide by HIPPA regulations.
