About The Position

The Temporary Part-Time Administrative Assistant provides direct administrative support to Child Welfare Social Workers in the area of CPS Assessments by accompanying them on home visits and other field-based activities, documenting observations and interviews, entering documentation into the agency's case management system, and assisting with the organization of workload priorities. This position is designed to maximize social worker efficiency by ensuring timely, accurate documentation and creating prioritized follow-up action lists that support ongoing case management. Because Child Welfare documentation is time-sensitive, this position requires immediate turnaround of work, exceptional attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to accurately capture information in real time while maintaining strict confidentiality. An essential function of this position requires riding in a County vehicle while accompanying Child Welfare staff in the performance of their duties. Work Schedule This is a temporary, part-time position. Work hours will vary based upon agency operational needs and the availability of assigned Child Welfare staff. Some flexibility may be required to accommodate field visits and other agency priorities.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma.
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative or clerical support.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Sound organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately capture information in real time.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to remain professional, objective, and composed while working in potentially difficult environments.
  • Strong keyboarding proficiency.
  • Ability to learn agency case management systems quickly.

  • Ability to take care of the customers' needs while following company procedures.
