Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 3+ years of administrative assistant experience preferred
  • Demonstrated record of successful performance
  • Experience supporting leadership teams or plant operations preferred
  • Experience coordinating meetings, events, travel, and office activities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support plant activities and events, including customer and executive leadership visits
  • Represent the site professionally to internal stakeholders, customers, and the outside community
  • Manage calendars, agendas, appointments, and meetings for the Plant Manager
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations, graphs, reports, and other business materials
  • Coordinate meetings and travel arrangements for customers, visitors, and staff
  • Manage plant-wide communications through email and BAS postings
  • Maintain conference room, cubicle, and office calendars
  • Manage seating charts for TCP1 and TCP2
  • Support office operations, including calls, mail, filing, and post office box activities
  • Maintain and order office supplies within budget
  • Coordinate snacks, beverages, food-service items, and PPE supplies
  • Partner with Facilities and cleaning teams to maintain a clean and organized plant environment
