About The Position

TRG Management is looking for an Administrative Assistant for the Liberty Square Community Center. The Assistant Manager assists with the management of apartment community operations, including leasing, resident relations, rent collection, reporting, vendor coordination, and compliance. This position serves as a key support to the Property Manager and may oversee operations in the manager’s absence.

Requirements

  • Experience with all types of housing, including subsidized, workforce and affordable, mid-rises, high-rises, luxury rentals, and single-family.
  • Experience managing approximately 20,000 units across several states.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of over 100 properties.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with rent collection and posting payments
  • Prepare bank deposits and financial reports
  • Maintain resident files and records
  • Process invoices and purchase orders
  • Monitor delinquency reports and follow up on late accounts
  • Assist with budgeting and expense tracking
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and housing regulations
  • Support leasing activities and resident retention efforts
  • Conduct apartment tours and explain lease terms
  • Process rental applications and lease renewals
  • Maintain occupancy goals and waitlists
  • Market available units through outreach and advertising
  • Respond to resident concerns and service requests
  • Maintain positive relationships with residents
  • Assist with conflict resolution and lease enforcement
  • Coordinate resident events and community communications
  • Work with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders
  • Conduct unit inspections and property walks
  • Report safety hazards and monitor property appearance
  • Coordinate vendor access and services when needed
  • Assist with affordable housing compliance, recertifications, or Section 8 documentation if applicable
  • Maintain accurate reports for occupancy, leasing, and collections
  • Ensure files meet audit and regulatory standards
