About The Position

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, scheduled for 12 months, Monday-Friday. The role is at LAOP Level D, with a beginning hourly rate of $20.20, subject to experience. Full benefits are included. The primary function is to assist and relieve the administrative supervisor of work and impediments so that they may devote maximum attention to the central problems of education and educational administration.

Requirements

  • Computer skills of various types, to be used in correspondence, reports, notices and recommendations.
  • Experience with International Baccalaureate of North America and Visionary Team.
  • Experience with Frontline management system.
  • Experience with Master Library.
  • Experience with Peach Jar postings.

Responsibilities

  • Function as an office manager in coordinating the activities of office support staff.
  • Obtain, gather and organize pertinent data as needed and put it into usable form.
  • Maintain a regular filing system as well as a set of locked confidential files, and process incoming correspondence as instructed.
  • Place and receive phone calls and record messages.
  • Maintain a schedule of appointments and make arrangements for conferences and interviews.
  • Perform typing chores for various departments when the special need arises.
  • Serve as official secretary to International Baccalaureate of North America and Visionary Team.
  • Assists substitute teachers.
  • Functions as a team member carrying out shared responsibilities of the office.
  • Acts as a backup for other building administrative assistants as needed.
  • Assists administrators, teachers, staff, students, families, and community as needed.
  • Provides professional and courteous customer service to parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Attends staff meetings and professional learning as directed.
  • Performs all work in accordance with governmental laws, state mandates, and Lindbergh policies.
  • Sends out peach jar postings through email/social media.
  • Schedules and revises high school events in Master Library.
  • Sends out absence letters for student absences for 3rd and 6th day absences.
  • Administrator for the high school of time and attendance in the Frontline management system.
  • Monitors, revises, and oversees student handbooks and teacher handbooks.
  • Responsible for setting and entering dates in the building calendar.
  • Coordinates student recognition in regards to baseball vouchers for students with 3.5 GPA or higher.
