About The Position

This is a full-time, 75 hours per pay period position, with typical hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. Saturday work may be required for student testing. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting and assisting the CNA Training Coordinator and the CNA RN with all aspects of the CNA program. S/he will schedule students for training, clinicals, obtaining their badges, and testing. S/he will create and complete attendance sheets and communicate attendance and schedules with Chattanooga State. S/he will order supplies, maintain inventory of supplies, and purchase approved items for the program. S/he will perform all relevant tasks to support the program. This may include giving tours, developing signage, creating spreadsheets, compiling curriculum, creating PowerPoint presentations, scheduling trainers, and an untold number of other duties. S/he will consistently clean and sanitize the CNA training and testing areas, including restrooms. The Compliance & Training Department supports all other departments at Orange Grove and works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. As such, the person in this position must continually demonstrate a superb work ethic, maintain confidentiality, display professionalism and leadership attributes, and uphold the mission, policies, and procedures of Orange Grove Center. This is a newly created position and duties and assignments will change and fluctuate. Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a related field (medical, business, human resources, etc.) and at least 1 year of experience in a related position, OR 3 years’ relevant work experience.
  • Fluent computer skills required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ongoing professionalism and initiative.
  • Time-oriented and capable of working within the guidelines of the CNA program and related entities.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects seamlessly and work independently.
  • Good overall physical health and personal stamina.
  • Must be able to work in an office and classroom environment.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds as needed.
