About The Position

Reinhardt University is currently accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant for the Registrar’s Office. Position Summary: Working with direct supervision and in accordance with written policies, procedures and general objectives of the University and external agencies, this position performs daily office operations within the Office of the Registrar.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to promote a professional image when working with students and/or families, faculty and staff, administrators from other agencies, college alumni and others.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact in a customer-friendly manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work assignments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to work alone and with a team.
  • Ability to approach records and registration office operations with creative and innovative ideas.
  • Comfortable working in an environment where work hours may involve nights and weekends.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with database management, word processing, and spreadsheets applications, preferable MS Word and Excel; knowledge of higher education database management, preferably Jenzabar EX.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Associate’s degree is preferred. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be considered.
  • 1-2 years of work experience, preferable in college enrollment services office or in a customer service related environment.
  • Computer literate, including database, word processing, spreadsheet, and Internet applications.
  • Demonstrated skills in communications, interpersonal relations, and problem solving.

Responsibilities

  • Performs general administrative office tasks including telephone coverage, transcript processing, enrollment verification, and customer service functions
  • Monitors and maintains general office supplies
  • Assists with processing related to student registration functions
  • Assists with communication to faculty regarding student registrations
  • Assists with grade processing functions
  • Assists with communications to students regarding academic standing
  • Performs tasks related to file maintenance of current and former student record keeping at the direction of the Registrar
  • Assist with the implementation of events including admissions events, Honors Day, Commencement, and New Student Orientation
  • Other duties as assigned.
