The Administrative Assistant/Office Manager manages the daily operations of the office and serves as principal and confidential assistant to the supervisor. This role maintains the official files and records for the office, performs administrative support duties, and maintains a variety of reports such as time (sick leave, vacation time), attendance, personnel action, payroll, correspondence, and budget records. The position also coordinates meetings, including scheduling, developing agendas, program materials, and travel arrangements. The Administrative Assistant/Office Manager receives and delivers telephone messages and generally acts independently, providing information and/or referrals. The role requires following job-related instructions and performing other job-related activities as requested by the supervisor.
