About The Position

This position provides direct support to Program Coordinators within the Outpatient Restoration/Forensic Services Department of the Colorado Department of Human Services, Civil and Forensic Mental Health Services (CFMH). CFMH is responsible for policy development, service provision, program monitoring, and administrative oversight for the public behavioral health system in Colorado. The Forensic Services Division specifically handles various departments including Outpatient Restoration (OPR), which offers a community-based alternative to inpatient competency restoration. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient communication and operations within the OPR program, which works with contracted providers, courts, jails, and community agencies. The work environment can be dynamic and fast-paced, requiring staff to maintain updated skills and knowledge through continuing education and other professional development activities. Travel throughout Colorado may be required.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned OR a combination of related education and/or relevant experience equal to three (3) years.
  • Must complete the official State of Colorado online application.
  • Must specifically document work experience and qualifications in the application form; do not use 'see resume' or 'see attached'.
  • Part-time work experience will be prorated.
  • Shift work eligible.
  • Standard Background Check including CBI name check, ICON Colorado court database, Medicare fraud database, Reference checks, Professional License verification, and drug screen (if applicable).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in an administrative or office management role.
  • Proficiency in common tools such as Google and Microsoft tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned.
  • Expert-level skill with common tools such as Google Suite and Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with the behavioral health and/or criminal justice systems.
  • Previous State experience.

Responsibilities

  • Process Juvenile Reporting: Track and send juvenile reports to courts based on court orders.
  • Processing Competency Court Orders: Receive court orders, create information packets for assigned providers, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Process Court Reports: Pull reports on clients with recent court dates, determine outcomes by interpreting court minutes or communicating with judicial assistants, and advise providers on case status.
  • Process Monthly Reporting: Receive and upload monthly reports from contracted providers, audit reports to ensure all active clients are accounted for, and reconcile provider invoices for payment.
  • Provide direct support to Program Coordinators, including provider reporting, correspondence, file creation, and processing court reports.
  • Ensure timely and efficient communication between the Program and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with other tasks as needed due to the fluidity and pace of the program, requiring strong task prioritization and time management skills.
