About The Position

The Data Coordinating Center (DCC) is a multidisciplinary team that supports complex, multi-site clinical research and collaborative learning networks across Seattle Children’s Research Institute and external partners. Our team specializes in the design, coordination, and operational management of multicenter clinical studies, providing expertise in project management, data coordination, regulatory oversight, and research infrastructure. In addition to traditional clinical research, the DCC plays a key role in advancing Learning Health Systems and quality improvement (QI) initiatives, helping clinical networks use real-world data to continuously improve patient care and outcomes. We work closely with investigators, clinicians, and national collaborators to translate data into actionable insights that accelerate discovery and improve the health of children.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of software applications, and advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), ability to quickly learn and utilize computer applications.

  • Excellent word processing and data entry skills.

  • Minimum one (1) year of related experience in the areas of customer service and/or office management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day coordination and administrative support.
  • Work with study teams to ensure successful completion of clinical research activities.
  • Effectively manage and complete individual project tasks assigned within designated timelines and due dates.
  • Set up, schedule, and organize individual and research meetings, and take and distribute meeting minutes as requested.
  • Work independently to manage complex calendars, make travel arrangements and prepare reimbursement requests for team members.
  • Collaborate as a team member, introduce CPI methods to ensure consistency, provide coverage as needed, serve as a point of contact and triage issues as appropriate.
  • Duties include exceptional customer service to team members and visitors.
  • Typing, editing, and proofreading various documents.
  • Maintaining filing electronic and paper systems.
  • Scheduling meetings and arranging travel.
  • Scheduling study visits with research participants.
  • Entering and extracting data for reports to be reviewed or distributed.
  • Managing workload required to complete projects.
  • Effectively revise and maintain program web site.
