About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital Administration is hiring a Full-time, Day Shift Administrative Assistant II. Hours/Shift: Full-time, day shift working from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Perform a variety of administrative tasks aimed to optimize the time and performance of a manager or employees of a department; higher level roles will work for higher level managers or departments. Tasks may involve acting as a first point of contact, dealing with correspondence and phone calls, managing diaries, organizing meetings and appointments, preparing documents or reports, and controlling access to the manager or the department. May involve dealing with confidential information. Minimum 1 VP + at least 2 more supported from list below Division VPs Sr. Directors/Directors or combination This job description captures the highlights of the role and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of the duties that an Executive Assistant II will perform. This role will answer the telephone and assist callers or those making varied inquiries.

Requirements

  • High School Grad or Equivalent (Required)
  • Basic experience of simple office / operational systems (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • 2 years experience (Preferred)
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (Preferred)
  • Previous Administrative Assistant or Secretary experience preferred to support Vice President and Senior Directors (Preferred)
  • Excellent Organization Skills (Preferred)
  • EPIC Experience (Preferred)
  • Familiar with Clinical Operations (Preferred)
