About The Position

This position performs complex clerical work for one or more first-level managers, including but not limited to: Staff scheduling, assisting with payroll, secretarial duties, maintaining general office files and records, typing official meeting minutes, handling mail, answering phones, composing important correspondence without oversight, and interpreting administrative decisions and policies. This position also examines and verifies reports for completeness, attends conferences and meetings, and may serve as a timekeeper for assigned staff; and other duties as assigned. This particular position will assist our Nursing Services department, especially with scheduling.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience performing a variety of complex clerical and typing work; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles and practices.
  • Must submit to a physical examination and shall meet the physical examination requirements of occasionally lifting/carrying 50 pounds and able to push and pull a maximum force of 25 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to fulfill any job-related travel normally associated with this position and as such have a valid driver’s license.
  • Applicants for safety sensitive positions shall be required to submit to urinalysis to test for drugs. Appointment to a safety sensitive position shall be contingent upon a negative drug test result.
