Independently plans, organizes and completes daily work under limited supervision in a manner supportive of a team environment. Participates in maintaining front end operational flow of the practice in daily work. Ability to assess data reflective of the patient status and interpret the information needed to identify each patient’s requirement relative to his/her age specific needs as they relate to the staff position. No breaches in confidentiality. Observed to call patient by correct name. Maintains patient privacy. Demonstrates skill in interpersonal relationships. Appropriately answers questions and provides information and assistance. Appropriately handles inquiries and takes command of the situation to direct the course of events. Assumes responsibility for personal development, identification of developmental needs. and initiates or identifies activities for formally developing skills. Is observed to make good use of time. Produces accurate work for check in and check out processes of the patient visit. Completes patient scheduling process accurately Knowledge and skills necessary to provide care according to the age of the patients served, including principles of growth and development over the patient’s life span as it relates to the staff position. Communicates well with all age groups. Knowledgeable about practice process as it relates to patient and staff communication. Observes the outcome of process and identifies problem and recommends alternative. Participates in educational and training programs as presented. Performs other duties as assigned; completes training and education as required.
