About The Position

Under the supervision of the Director of Customer Services, this role performs a variety of administrative support duties requiring proficiency with current job-related software/programs. The position utilizes Precision to process work orders, purchasing requisitions, and time sheets, and retrieves financial data and processes various work authorizations (e.g., permits and MDOT). The role also oversees and manages the Adopt-A-Road Program, administers purchase orders & cost agreements, and prepares Board resolutions, department presentations, memos, and letters. The position requires timely and professional communication via telephone and e-mail, exercising independent judgment and a high degree of accuracy. Duties must be performed in a safe, professional, and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County. A daily schedule supporting RCOC hours of operation is required, and regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of clerical and word processing experience is required.
  • Ability and willingness to learn and master new software applications.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid State of Michigan Driver’s License.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States and possess a Valid Driver's License.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge/experience with Cityworks is desired.
