About The Position

This is a remote/ rotational position, working a rotational schedule, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided. Job Purpose: The Service Writer / Advisor gathers information about warranties and provisions for service coverage also drafting orders for repairs to be done.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to act with a high sense of urgency and employ excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Have adequate written and oral communications applicable to standards set by organization.
  • Knowledge of warranty administration and repair authorization processes.
  • Working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, repair planning, and fleet lifecycle management.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with mechanics, supervisors, and operations personnel.
  • Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.
  • Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.
  • Minimum one (1) year as a Service Advisor / Service Consultant or parts department experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid driver’s license required and ability to be insured by Worley auto insurer.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Fleet Coordinator, Shop Planner, Dispatcher, Lead Technician, or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Experience supporting heavy-duty trucks, light-duty vehicles, construction equipment, and/or oilfield equipment.
  • Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or fleet management software such as AssetWorks, Fleet Focus, SAP, Maximo, or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Teams.
  • Experience prioritizing work orders and coordinating repairs in a high-volume maintenance environment.
  • Experience preparing estimates, repair recommendations, maintenance schedules, and operational reports.
  • Warranty experience.
  • Alaskan Residents are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide client with estimates in line with varying needs and expectations of cost, quality, and lead time.
  • Review repair orders for accuracy and ensure proper description of symptoms, problems, and causes are listed, as well as repairs and services performed based on what technicians submit are captured.
  • Consult with Shop Lead about necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive work
  • Create, review and close work orders.
  • Entering repair orders into service database system.
  • Assist Shop Lead with needs for vehicle repairs and maintenance services, timelines, etc.
  • Timely and accurate documentation regarding each vehicle repair.
  • Demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures and accept accountability for safe work practices.
  • Stock and inventory parts in shop.
  • Issue and bill parts from inventory.
  • Deliver parts to technicians.
  • Obtaining parts information.
  • Safely climb ladders of various heights.
  • Routinely operate Worley/ client light and medium duty vehicles.
  • Other fleet support duties as assigned
