About The Position

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Hardee Correctional Institution in the Warden’s Office. This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

Requirements

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Support of knowledge, skills, and abilities should be demonstrated on the application, in the education, in the work experience, in the work sample, in the interview and/or during reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Warden, including research, data gathering, and preparing detailed reports, projections, and recommendations.
• Review, analyze, and draft interoffice memos, correspondence, DC-mail messages, and confidential materials for the Warden’s approval.
• Compile statistical data, written reports, and other critical information to assist the Warden’s evaluation and decision-making.
• Respond professionally to public and staff inquiries, interpret rules and policies, and refer complex issues to the Warden as needed.
• Manage the Warden’s calendar, schedule meetings and events, coordinate vehicle assignments, oversee mail and communications, take meeting minutes, maintain files, and control building access.
