TJ Maxx is seeking an Administrative Assistant Coordinator to support store management in executing store-related administrative functions. This role is crucial in ensuring an excellent customer experience by engaging with customers and maintaining a clean, organized store. The position models outstanding customer service, creates a positive internal and external customer experience, and promotes a culture of honesty and integrity while maintaining confidentiality. The Administrative Assistant Coordinator plays an active role in the hiring process, including scheduling interviews and conducting reference checks, as well as in the onboarding of new Associates. They will maintain Associate personnel files, perform daily cash office functions, and uphold cash office standards. This role supports the Operations Assistant Store Manager with scheduling, expense account monitoring, supply inventory, and requisitioning. Additionally, they ensure proper Associate coverage in service areas for a positive customer experience, support coverage needs throughout the store, and ensure the store team executes tasks according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed. Effective communication with management and Associates regarding priorities and progress updates is essential. The role involves providing and accepting recognition and constructive feedback, partnering with Management on Associate training needs, and ensuring adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures. Maintaining organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participating in the maintenance of the entire store are key responsibilities. The position also promotes credit and loyalty programs, supports store shrink reduction goals, and promotes safety awareness.
