About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is offering an exciting opportunity within the Dean's Office for an Administrative Assistant 4. The Administrative Assistant 4 provides executive support to the Vice Dean through calendar coordination, event assistance, and project management. The position additionally supports operational areas within the school to include Marketing and Communications, Advancement, and Dean's Office Administration. Duties include: managing projects within each functional area, supporting scholarship and donor activities, and engaging in events. The cross-functional role brings a supportive team environment and opportunity to engage in all of our educational program areas. UNR Med is looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, project management skills, executive support experience, a collaborative approach, and a desire to produce excellent work in support of the mission, vision, and values of the school.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources.
  • One year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
  • A valid driver's license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment for off-campus meetings.
