This position serves administrative and business operations for two complex, interdisciplinary units: the Department of Applied and Interdisciplinary Engineering and the College of Hospitality’s Global Sport Hospitality Research and Strategic Initiatives. The Department of Applied and Interdisciplinary Engineering functions as a cross-disciplinary hub connecting programs, faculty, and resources across the University. Global Sport Hospitality Research and Strategic Initiatives serve as a bridge between academia and industry, advancing research, partnerships, workforce development, and strategic initiatives within sport and hospitality. Working with a high degree of independence, the position manages fiscal operations, academic scheduling, faculty assignments, procurement, personnel support, grants and contracts, accreditation documentation, events, and executive administration. The position also serves as a primary liaison among faculty, department leadership, Dean’s offices, central university units, students, and external partners. Success in the role requires sound judgment, discretion, strong institutional knowledge, and the ability to coordinate policies, priorities, and business practices across multiple colleges and departments.
