About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 in Las Vegas, NV. This position will provide word processing support to area administrators, faculty, and other employees using the most complex capabilities of the word processing system to produce correspondence and reports using highly technical terminology, fliers, agendas, minutes, graphs, layout, etc. With the acquisition of grants, additional duties include data input, creation of tables and layout of data analysis, as specified in the grants, using highly specific software such as Teleform, SPSS, EndNote, and Excel. The Administrative Assistant 3 will be responsible for the input, update, and maintenance of the website for the department programs, creating documents from scratch to include specific information and/or graphics and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities.
  • OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service.
  • OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
  • Candidates must complete a fingerprinting/background check.
