About The Position

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada is seeking applicants for a full-time Administrative Assistant 3 for the Business and Social Science Division. Join our dynamic department as an Administrative Assistant 3, where you'll play a vital role in supporting faculty, students, and departmental operations. This position provides a wide range of administrative support, including managing class schedules, processing book orders, coordinating payroll contracts, assisting with budgets and purchasing, and handling travel requests. You’ll also provide responsive customer service and ensure smooth day-to-day operations by supporting both faculty and students. We’re looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys helping others succeed.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities
  • OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service
  • OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above

Nice To Haves

  • Three or more years of administrative assistant experience
  • An Associate’s degree or higher
  • Experience working in higher education, particularly within NSHE
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Workday, and Canvas
