About The Position

This position serves as administrative support for the leadership team in the Commissioner of the Revenue office. It involves assisting with recruitment activities, acting as a backup Human Resources Liaison, and managing various financial and operational tasks. The role also includes providing reception support, training, and scheduling coverage, as well as planning and executing projects and managing office social media. This position is part of an approved Career Development Plan (CDP) offering potential career progression and salary incentives based on performance, qualifications, and experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, accounting, or finance or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in providing professional level administrative, analytical and/or operational support in the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Proficient use of PC and software applications.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as administrative support for the leadership team in the Commissioner of the Revenue office.
  • Assists with recruitment activities and backup Human Resources Liaison.
  • Prepares purchase requisitions, orders and receives supplies, and processes invoices for payment.
  • Processes travel arrangements and reimbursements.
  • Reconciles department bank statements.
  • Provides occasional back up to the reception desk and assists with training and scheduling reception coverage.
  • Plans and executes various projects and office functions.
  • Manages the office social media.
  • Perform other work as required.
