About The Position

The Administrative Analyst provides advanced administrative and programmatic support to the Dean of the School of Education. This position requires independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities across academic, financial, and programmatic functions. The incumbent serves as the Coordinator for the Arkansas Geographical Critical Needs Minority Teacher Scholarship Program for the Arkansas Department of Higher Education, under the supervision of the Dean and the Chancellor. This position is responsible for program coordination, reporting, and liaison activities with two-year and four-year colleges, universities, and secondary institutions across the state of Arkansas. The Project Program Specialist ensures departmental operations comply with university and state policies, supports accreditation and budgetary processes, manages personnel actions, and coordinates public relations, recruitment, and data reporting functions.

Requirements

  • Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines.
  • Knowledge of budget and fiscal management principles.
  • Familiarity with federal and state higher education programs, particularly TRIO and ADHE-funded initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and university management systems.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and external partners
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in higher education administration, grants management, or program coordination.
  • Experience with state or federal reporting and compliance processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with educator preparation programs or the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) process.
  • Familiarity with the Arkansas Department of Higher Education (ADHE) reporting systems.
  • Experience in financial aid, scholarship coordination, or student support services.
