About The Position

The County of San Diego is seeking an Administrative Analyst II for a professional career opportunity. This position is eligible for appointment at Step 1, $91,603.20 annually, with future salary increases planned. The Administrative Analyst II is the professional journey-level class in the Administrative Analyst series, responsible for providing general administrative support to managers and executives in areas such as financial management, budget preparation, purchasing, contract administration and monitoring, cost-benefit analysis, personnel, general administration, and special projects requiring quantitative and analytical skills. This recruitment will fill vacancies for General Administration, Budget/Fiscal, or Contract Management/Administration options.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited U. S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency, AND, three (3) years of full-time professional level experience performing policy and procedures interpretation, special studies and projects, or general administration, OR, Seven (7) years of full-time professional level experience performing policy and procedures interpretation, special studies and projects, or general administration.
  • Qualifying experience must be at the Professional Level.
  • Applicants must have qualifying education and/or experience as of the application deadline date.

Nice To Haves

  • A master's or doctoral degree from an accredited U. S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency may substitute for up to one (1) year of the required experience.
  • Education and work experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
  • In order for education to be substitute for work experience as indicated above, college level coursework must demonstrate progress toward a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Providing managers and executives with general administrative support in a wide variety of areas, including, but not limited to, financial management, budget preparation, purchasing, contract administration and monitoring, cost-benefit analysis, personnel, general administration, and special projects requiring quantitative and analytical skills.
