About The Position

Under the general supervision of an Administrative Analyst 4, Fiscal Management, or other supervisor, assists in supervising work activities involving planning and conducting management, statistical, organizational, fiscal, performance, and budget analyses of department programs; takes the lead in conducting cost benefit analyses and effectiveness surveys; where alternative programs are needed, assists in making evaluations and recommendations as required; does other related duties.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) years of professional experience in work involving fiscal analyses and evaluation, budgeting, and management operations in government, business, and/or a management consulting firm, including or supplemented by twenty-one (21) semester hour credits in any combination of Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance courses.
  • Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by twenty-one (21) semester hour credits in any combination of Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance courses; and three (3) years of the above-mentioned professional experience.
  • Possession of a Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance; and two (2) years of the above-mentioned professional experience.
  • Possession of a doctorate degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or Finance; and one (1) year of the above-mentioned professional experience.
  • Professional experience refers to work that is creative, analytical, evaluative, and interpretive; requires a range and depth of specialized knowledge of the profession's principles, concepts, theories, and practices; and is performed with the authority to act according to one's own judgment and make accurate and informed decisions.
  • All U.S. degrees and transcripts must be from an accredited college or university. All foreign degrees and transcripts must be evaluated for accreditation by a recognized evaluation service by the closing date of this posting. Failure to provide documentation may result in ineligibility.
  • Appointees will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
  • Selected candidates must be authorized to work in the United States per the Department of Homeland Security, United States Citizenship, and Immigration Services regulations.
  • The State of New Jersey does not provide sponsorship for citizenship to the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Compiling and maintaining financial records to track and audit the spending of available resources.
  • Keeping records of invoices.
  • Processing purchase orders and payment vouchers to pay vendors.
  • Overseeing the Agency's P-Card program.
  • Reviewing daily deposits for completeness.
  • Reviewing daily credit card deposits and preparing necessary documents to post revenue.
  • Preparing calculations for fuel payments.
  • Reviewing licensing agent ACH transfers and preparing documents/paperwork necessary to post weekly payments to the proper revenue accounts.
  • Reviewing and auditing CR documents for field office deposits.
