About The Position

The Division of Applied Undergraduate Studies (DAUS) at the NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) seeks an Administrative Aide II to perform a wide range of general office duties including those of a confidential nature. The Assistant will respond to inquiries from students, prospective students, SPS colleagues, industry partners and will display a comprehensive knowledge of the department's activities, policies and programs. Interact with University and School personnel, including those at the senior level, to resolve issues and problems. Customize and/or compose communications and draft and coordinate social media posts and website updates. Work with databases using intermediate to advanced-level functions, including complex spreadsheets and reports. Use Microsoft and Google softwares to support office work. Maintain leaders' calendars and assist with meeting coordination.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3 years of office experience.
  • Experience providing a high level of customer service.
  • Proficiency with intermediate to advanced word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
  • Moderate to fast, accurate keyboarding.
  • Good proofreading and writing skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of office experience (with Associate's degree).
  • 1 year of office experience (with Bachelor's degree).
  • Proficiency with intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office or proficiency with Apple.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing software.
  • Knowledge of Access.

Benefits

  • The hourly rate for this position is USD $39.129.
