About The Position

The Administration Officer – Chemotherapy/Oncology Department plays an essential role in supporting the delivery of specialist cancer care by providing high-quality administrative and reception services within the Chemotherapy/Oncology Unit. Reporting to the Manager Patient Administration Services, you will coordinate patient appointments, admissions, referrals and clinical administration while ensuring accurate records are maintained across multiple electronic systems. Working closely with nursing, medical and allied health staff, you will help deliver a professional, efficient and compassionate experience for patients throughout their cancer treatment journey.

Requirements

  • Experience providing confidential, accurate and efficient administrative or reception services.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with patients, staff and the public.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills, with experience using Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities.
  • A current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) for employment involving unsupervised contact with vulnerable groups is required for this position.
  • Immunisation Risk for this position is Category A.
  • SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in healthcare administration (including Sunrise and/or iChemo systems) will be highly regarded.
