Administration Manager
About The Position
Mater Hospital Springfield is seeking applications for an Administration Manager to lead the team in this full-time, three-month maximum term leave coverage role. As Mater’s newest public hospital, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it’s set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. The Manager is a member of the Finance and Operations Leadership Team within the Mater Springfield Portfolio and has direct accountability to the Finance and Operations Manager of this team. Through this role the Manger provides strong leadership in upholding Mater’s Mission, Vision and Values, aligning the operational plans of these services to the Mater Health Strategic Objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years’ experience leading a large team within a health setting.
- Advanced written and oral communication skills.
- High level office and information systems management skills.
- Financial acumen and detailed knowledge of health-related funding arrangements and terminology.
- Advanced knowledge of improvement frameworks and proven track record in continuously improving services.
Nice To Haves
- Qualification in Business Administration (or similar) highly regarded
Responsibilities
- Manage all elements of these Services, benchmarking to maintain efficient processes, systems, staffing and knowledge that supports excellence in patient care and experience.
- Responsible for optimal performance in service delivery by embedding a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve efficiency through the use of technology, critical analysis and redesign of administration processes, to support overall improvement in organisational performance.
- Collaborate closely with other Mater Managers to embed an integrated approach to services and strengthen Mater as a whole.
