About The Position

VARS, a subsidiary of Raymond Chabot Grant Thornton, is seeking a Network Administrator to join their team in Montreal. VARS specializes in securing and optimizing technological environments for organizations across various sectors, acting as a trusted partner to ensure the performance, availability, and resilience of IT infrastructures. This role involves participating in service proposal development, providing Level 1, 2, and 3 support, delivering technical projects, and managing network, server, and cloud environments. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or DEC in computer science combined with a relevant AEC, or any equivalent combination of training, experience, and certifications.
  • Five (5) to ten (10) or more years of experience in information technology infrastructure.
  • Excellent mastery of L2/L3 network environments (VLAN, routing, VPN, firewalls, SD-WAN).
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex network, server, and cloud issues.
  • Experience with MSP tools and practices (RMM, ticket management, and automation).
  • Ability to clearly document and deliver projects end-to-end.
  • Good communication skills, sense of priorities, autonomy, and team spirit.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of professional service proposals, including defining service scope and identifying client needs.
  • Actively contribute to managed services by providing Level 1, 2, and 3 support.
  • Deliver and execute technical projects in client environments.
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain network, server, and cloud environments.
  • Ensure supervision of network infrastructures, including alert and incident management.
  • Manage and maintain configurations to ensure service availability, performance, and resilience.
  • Train and support internal teams in developing their technical skills.
  • Mentor and support Level 1 technicians in resolving incidents and requests.
