Your future team: By joining BCF's information and innovation team under the direction of the Director, Infrastructure and Systems, the incumbent will concretely contribute to the operation, stability, and evolution of the firm's technological infrastructure. The role covers on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments for both the Montreal and Quebec City offices. The position is part of a real technological modernization phase, combining migration projects to Azure and SaaS, optimization of existing environments, and maintenance of critical systems in production. Furthermore, on a daily basis, you will collaborate closely with a human and authentic team that stands out for its expertise, excellence, creativity, and generosity. Your role as a Systems Administrator will make a difference within the team!

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent training.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in systems and IT infrastructure administration.
  • Good experience in corporate networking.
  • Concrete experience in hybrid environments and high-availability critical contexts.
  • Very good command of Microsoft environments and Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell for administration and automation.
  • Knowledge of virtualization environments (Hyper-V or equivalent).
  • Knowledge in telecommunications and networking (Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent technologies).
  • Pragmatic and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Autonomy, rigor, and sense of responsibility.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in French and English.
  • Concepts: VLAN / routing / switching, VPN (IPsec / SSL).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a law firm or professional services firm.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Azure (AZ 104, AZ 305) or virtualization/networking certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows environments required for business applications.
  • Support application environments when required.
  • Maintain and evolve the network infrastructure of the Montreal and Quebec City offices.
  • Administer and optimize Fortinet environments (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, SD-WAN).
  • Manage network configurations: VLAN, routing, segmentation.
  • Maintain and evolve VPN solutions: remote access (SSL VPN / Always On VPN), site-to-site (IPsec).
  • Manage firewall rules and configurations (FortiGate).
  • Actively participate in network troubleshooting (latency, performance, connectivity).
  • Ensure the stability and performance of the network between different sites.
  • Contribute to technical decisions related to network evolution.
  • Actively participate in migration projects to Azure and SaaS.
  • Operate and evolve hybrid environments (on-premises / Azure).
  • Administer Azure components including virtual machines, storage, and backups.
  • Contribute to the gradual reduction of the on-premises footprint.
  • Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of critical systems (24/7).
  • Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Document environments, configurations, and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including information security.
